This episode of Once Upon a Time explores an ethics problem that has perplexed many philosophers: is it better to save one person or to let one person perish for the greater good? The episode also reaffirmed season six as something that looks good on the surface but is slowly rotting underneath.

As the show continues to re-write its first season, we explore the ramifications of these decisions. Did Rumple also go back to sleep after Snow and Charming decided not to break the curse? Did pixie flowers continue to grow in the presence of Regina in Storybrooke?

In other subjects:

  • We explain the concept of "VHS tape recording"
  • We make a point about Hook using the example of 1,000, the light bill and My Little Pony.
  • Gideon and Black Fairy are the Norma and Norman Bates of Once.
  •  Rumple and The Black Fairy's showdown was delicious.
  •  Tiger Lily has Tink's backstory: why?
